Subject: Sorry Gang
Haven't yet listened to this show, but I hate to burst a popular bubble, especially one that is meant to honor the memory of Jon McIntire, but Uncle John's Band was written about John Cohen of the New Lost City Ramblers. C'mon folks, it's not Uncle Jon's Band.

Yeah, I have to say I was a little taken aback by comments that spoke of Further...but I have to admit there is merit in these comments. This lineup friggin' flat out jams! Way to go Phil, the Music Never Stopped....Only half way through this show, but I am floored by the , Stephan/Eleven check it out...but get properly prepped first, you will love it.

Thanks for posting! Great show!

Wish the CHATTERING IDIOTS would have toned it down, especially during the quiet parts, but 'tis ever thus, these days....

Wow and wow again. I was a little put off after a bad Furthur show a few months ago but these guys are just bringing it-got me grooving. Well worth a listen. You can really feel the energy-wish I could have been at this one.

Subject: Thank You
This show was "unofficially" dedicated to Jon McIntire, former GD manager who passed on 2/15, whom the song "Uncle John's Band" was written about. I was fortunate enough to meet this impeccable and lovely gentleman during my travels and he was truly a wonderful human being who will be missed by many. RIP Jon.

PS - Phil & Friends did him proud this night.

This is one of the ones I wish I could have been at. Thanks to all of the tapers that make this happen. This show makes me miss the Phil runs. Good sounding AUD. I would imagine the place was on fire. The Layla, well just wow.

Subject: Best show I've seen since 1995
The whole show is awesome. There's lots of chaos in the jams but at no point do they waiver from their intention to channel the muse. Friend of the Devil has real style. Cold Rain and Snow is masterfully done. And when's the last time you heard a 2nd set that OPENED with Saint Stephen, followed by The Eleven followed by Layla?! Bird Song, Uncle John's Band and the hits keep coming. I wept during Stella Blue and the Rider is electrifying. Attics of my Life? Are you serious? How could this get any better? How about the happiest Phil I've ever seen singing Box of Rain. This show is a must listen.

Thank you Phil! This is beautiful work you are doing and I, for one, appreciate the legacy you have and are creating.

Subject: SUCH ENERGY!
This show was incredible... I could only make it to Saturday night, so when I heard Thursday's show, I was bummed. Thought they blew their wad on the first night. Man, was I wrong. The show was packed! Everybody dancing and very respectful. First set was amazing, right up till they played a HUGE He's Gone. Then it was out of control from then on out. Stephen>Eleven was killer!! then an almost HUGER Layla. Stella Blue was weepingly beautiful, Rider even HUGER-ER! Attics was probably the best version I've heard in years, and then a perfect Box of Rain that needed to happen to make a perfect 3 show run.

All in all, Jackie was great as always, Scofield was a quiet genius, with the perfect ability to get loud and crazy when necessary. Warren brought it (and I was SO impressed by his quoting... age of aquarius, bid you goodnight, etc...)! AND left the whiskey voice with the Mule (which my wife appreciated :P ) Russo was a BEAST!! Chimenti was another quiet genius. And Phil was droppin bombs and singing so well... And directed his band to the heights of my new favorite Phil & Friends show. THANKS, BOYS!
